今天，知名域名注册商GoDaddy发邮件给我，说我的某个已经使用了多年的域名，其联系人信息无效，因此要一次性扣除我9.95美元的管理费，GoDaddy这可真是赚钱有道啊。
由于我的Godaddy绑定了我的招商银行信用卡，使得Godaddy可以自己去我的信用卡上扣款，但是我没有想到GoDaddy竟然这么不负责任的胡乱扣款，因此我只好将我保存在GoDaddy的信用卡号码删除，而使用PayPal，如果GoDaddy再敢用PayPal乱扣款，我就要去PayPal进行投诉了。
至于联系人信息，我的确录入的不是真实的，因为任何人都可以通过Whois查询我的域名得到我的联系信息，这显然侵犯了我的隐私权。垃圾邮件发送者、垃圾短信发送者、诈骗者以及各式各样的恶意用户都可以很容易地获取这些信息，这对于我来说就是一场灾难。而且也没有规定域名的联系人信息必须输入自己的真实信息啊，退一步讲，即使我录入的联系人信息是不真实的，美国有中国的身份证和地址查询系统吗？GoDaddy又凭什么判定用户录入的联系信息是无效的呢？GoDaddy又有什么权利收取我管理费呢？
我以前是信任GoDaddy，所以才使用信用卡直接在GoDaddy消费，而现在，GoDaddy让我失去了信任，说明它本身也是一个不负责任的公司。
2018年5月更新：根据ICANN（互联网名称与数字地址分配机构）《通用顶级域名注册数据临时政策细则》和欧盟通用数据保护条例（GDPR）合规要求，为保护用户隐私，域名WHOIS将不显示个人信息，通过WHOIS来查询域名持有者的信息将成为历史。域名WHOIS信息公开查询结果中将不再显示域名注册人／注册机构的名称，以及域名注册人／注册机构、管理联系人和技术联系人的联系信息。以上调整措施生效后，域名注册信息将默认得到保护。
